As you saw on the home page, the theme of our retreat will be Maintaining A Spiritual Life. We will have two subtopics for discussion groups. They are (click on the links for the discussion group outlines):
- Know The Enemy, Be Prepared For Battle (discussion outline)
- How To Grow In Faith (discussion outline)
We believe these themes are highly relavant to today's age, as the increased wickedness of the world often makes maintaining a spiritual life difficult, and the enormous prosperity that we enjoy carries its own dangers (Matthew 19:24).
We will post a theme song and text here as well, as soon as they have been finalized.
We will have two speakers, one of whom will be our own minister, Rev. Martin VanderWal. Rev. VanderWal has been our minister since January 2002. Prior to that he pastored his first call in Wyckoff, New Jersey, from the years 1997 to 2001.
Our second speaker will be Rev. Arie den Hartog, currently pastor of Southwest PRC in Grandville, MI. Rev. den Hartog has served as a missionary and minister-on-loan to Singapore, as well as pastoring our church here in Redlands, and Covenant PRC in New Jersey prior to moving to Southwest PRC
